Many of the narratives we consume via news or social media are an altered form of themselves. In a society with an ever-growing fear of false information and cover-ups we overlook the small acts of censorship we observe and perform in our everyday lives. Through found imagery and distressed photographs this portfolio explores the concept of personal censorship and the threat of it on our narratives and spread of stories. As humans we are innately curious, fighting against the falsification or change of truth. Yet, we overlook the falsification of our society and our own lives.
